My experience is that the CH unit is the best on the market. Period. There's evidence to support this but it can't be shared. The CH unit is more expensive, so one should not be surprised to see a final cost difference with that ignition.

For me the difference in cost for superior performance is not great enough not to make a difference in the end. There can be nothing worse than any ignition type deciding to take a dump when you're in a hover or at the start of a competition after a long drive. I run my ignitions regulated to 5.1 or 5.2 volts, whatever is the lowest number the regulator will take. They are noted in the instructions to be operated at 4.8 volts, but I've not ever heard of an issue at close to 5. I don't have a clue about the weight. Any differences are not large enough to have an impact for me.
