Usually when a jet goes up, they land. Not out of fear, but the exact opposite.
I usually wait until there are no prop aircraft in the air, before I fire mine up. If it's a pretty busy day on the flight line, I ask the pilots that are up if they mind flying with a jet in the air. Most of them don't mind, but some prefer that I wait till they're down.
