Ya, that upgraded power-plant will fry stock parts quick. I think that Speedmaster stuff may be too big for the V though. Isn't that hardware made for bigger hulls? I don't know. I'm currently reproducing my outdrive out of aluminum and the prop-shaft will be a brass tube with bearings. It will look just like the plastic one but a whole lot stronger and smoother. My driveshaft/stuffing box is set-up like this too with flanged bearings and it's like buttaa! Here's some current pix of the radio box I made.
