Well, there IS one easy fix...
Get some spray foam insulation, you know, that stuff in a can at Home Depot.
Carefully spray some inside the rear of the fuse. NOT TOO MUCH! This stuff swells up to about 10 times it's size and it's stickier than hell.
Make sure you get it down pretty far (I would hold the plane nose up so gravity will help)
Then watch it for an hour or so to make sure that it doesn't swell into the radio compartment and really make a mess of things.
Don't use the push rods until the foam sets up or they will flex and move the foam away from them.
Once it sets up, it will hold the tubes from flexing.
