Default RE: CEN quality and tunability questions

My own experience the Cen MT 2 is a beast. It was and still is one of my most favorite trucks to beat the crap out of. I have a Genesis and have fired it yet so i can't speak to its quality. The customer service i got was very good.

Now with Traxxas, the revo is a super tough little beastie, and they haul A**. Customer service simply awesome. My luck with the TRX 2.5 motors horrible. The first one upon starting it up on the first start with needles set at factory settings flew over 300 degrees and torched the piston and sleeve, no amount of richening it up helped. The 2nd motor followed break in to the T as per traxxas instructions. It ran great, and cooked itself, it never temped over 265 degrees.

I figure it must be me, but then why can I tune all the other motors on my other 20 odd nitro vehicles without blowing them up.

The gst is a nice truck though. Id weigh out pluses and negitives on both. One thing with the revo is you'll find parts almost anywhere, and craploads of aftermarket goodies.

Goodluck
