Default regulator vs idling adjusting for YS61

Hi Dave,

I had trouble fine tune my 61AR idling spped after replace with a new diaphram.

I had the regulator adjust to a position that both high ( with high needle valve adjusted ) and idling seems to be fine while the plane is siting on the ground. However, when I raise up the nose of the plane while idling, the rpm drop right away and engine stops. I asume it is too lean and strat screwing out the regulator screw (1/8 turn each time). The problem seems to improve slowly. Therefore, I keep screw out the regulator to a point that I almost believe it can be too rick. However, I can only keep the engine idling for less than 6 seconds at the nose up position ( vertical).

Do I do it right? What should I do?

Thanks very much

Mike
