I personally wouldnt downgrade the pro with flat blades I would leave the symmetricals on. I have never flown a heli till I got my pro, and I started with the syms and after breaking a few I tried the flat bottoms once and will never use them again. I have just kept with the symmetricals. Now I am using carbons since I dont have any serious crashes.
I would highly recommend taking it slow and buying the eflite training gear for $10 its the best money you will ever spend on it. I also would recommend a set of super skids at www.super-skids.com they are a lot tougher than the original landing gear are easy to install and get the tail rotor off the ground so you can fly off grass much better. Or if your in the house off carpet.
