the cp is fixed pitch and can goes up/down when the motors speed increases/decreases. the cp pro is collective pitch which means that as well as the motor varying speeds, the pitch of the blades helps to make it fly. this means it can go upside down etc (3D)

The Blade CP and the CP Pro are both collective pitch helis.

Blade CP FEATURES

CCPM (Cyclic/Collective Pitch Mixing) and collective pitch provide expert control
Capable of excellent flight performance indoors and outdoors
No assembly required
Includes everything you need to fly right out of the box, except 8 AA batteries
Each model is individually test-flown at the factory
Optional hop-up and full replacement parts sold separately
E-flite's ready-to-fly Blade CP slices the cutting edge of performance. That's because no other micro-sized RTF heli provides this much control and aerobatic potential.

Right from the box, the Blade CP offers collective pitch and CCPM control that will let heli pilots fly in almost any direction. Transitioning from forward flight to hover with smooth, solid control is a cinch and negative pitch is a breeze for aerobatics like loops and rolls.

The Blade CP is versatile enough to fly anywhere, and almost everything needed to fly is included and installed such as a Ni-MH battery pack, 370 main motor, 4-in-1 receiver, mixer, ESCs, gyro and a 6-channel FM radio system with servo reversing and CCPM mixing. All that is needed are 8 "AA" batteries for the transmitter. Plus, each Blade CP is test-flown at the factory to ensure precise performance and control which makes it truly ready to fly right from the box.

For more elaborate aerobatics and inverted flight, Blade CP pilots can use a 3-cell 860-1320mAh Li-Po battery pack and E-flite's Aerobatic Enhancement Kit (EFLH1168), which includes wooden symmetrical main blades, main motor heat sink, tail motor heat sink and 370 main motor with 9-tooth pinion.

Blade CP Pro FEATURES

No assembly required
CCPM and Bell-Hiller mixing for lightning fast cyclic response
Symmetrical main rotor blades for aerobatics and inverted flight
Main and tail motor heat sinks to help maintain maximum performance and prolong motor life
3-cell 800mAh Li-Po battery pack with Charge Protection Circuitry and a DC Li-Po balancing charger
6-channel FM radio system with CCPM, Idle Up flight mode switch and adjustment knob, and optional-use proportional fifth channel
Unique combination of a 6-channel FM receiver and an advanced 3-in-1 control unit with main motor and tail motor ESCs, a mixer and a gyro
Plug and play compatibility with brushless power systems and heading lock gyros
Based on the tried and true Blade CP platform, the Blade CP Pro adds the lightweight power of a 3-cell 800mAh Li-Po battery pack, the lightning quick cyclic response of Bell-Hiller mixing, and the upright or inverted agility of symmetrical main rotor blades. Plus, it can easily be outfitted with brushless power and a heading lock gyro, without the need for a new radio system or difficult modifications. For red-hot micro heli aerobatics in about the time it takes for you to charge a battery pack, nothing can touch the cutting-edge Blade CP Pro.

E-flite uses top-quality engineering and materials in everything that's produced, providing you with the maximum level of value and fun. E-flite backs all of its products with the best customer service and support in the hobby, so your electric flight experience is always a positive one

go with a cp pro, downgrade it to a cp for learning. too bad we don't have falcon 3d parts here in canada. or that would be your better bet. get the pro, the lipo will cover the difference between the 2. get flat bottom blades, maybe even get a hiller only grips (some might disagree, depends if you like it to be responsive or smooth).

yes, they are both collective helis, what you might be mixed up is that a cx is fp, but both a cp and a cpp is collective pitch (which is why they are called cp the first place)

How can you downgrade to a CP with a CP Pro? Also, where do you suggest getting flat blades at, USA here.

I personally wouldnt downgrade the pro with flat blades I would leave the symmetricals on. I have never flown a heli till I got my pro, and I started with the syms and after breaking a few I tried the flat bottoms once and will never use them again. I have just kept with the symmetricals. Now I am using carbons since I dont have any serious crashes.
I would highly recommend taking it slow and buying the eflite training gear for $10 its the best money you will ever spend on it. I also would recommend a set of super skids at www.super-skids.com they are a lot tougher than the original landing gear are easy to install and get the tail rotor off the ground so you can fly off grass much better. Or if your in the house off carpet.
