Down trim on a p51
I built a chinese clone of the Hanger Nine 60 size p51. It flies very well but we are nagged with a need for a lot of down trim and nose over landings. I have an Idea that avoids carving the fuse to change the wing angle. the solution seems to be to trim away the fuse from zero forwarf to about 1/4 inch at the trailing edge. Lots of work. What do you guys think of this. I fasten a piece of aileron stock 1 1/4 inch wide from the end of the aileron to the fuse on the underside of the wing with the thin part sanded flush and the 1/4 inch thick side at the trailing edge. either that or make the elevators larger which would look bad. I have a super tigre 90 in it.
