Yeah contact a field instructor before you do anything else.
Forget the LA engines they have far less power than the FX/AX series and feature only a single needle valve and a bleed valve for the low end.
The low end is almost impossible to set correctly on the LA series.
I have a 40LA that runs too rich on the low end and there is no way to lean it out as the screw is fully open on the bleed valve.
Ugh... not worth the time and effort.
