I fly the Modeltech Magic 3d with a asp 52 with a apc 13x4 sport prop flies great 4.25lbs hovers no problem good vertical not a rocket but it pulls out fine
you can get under 4 lbs with a micro on the throttle and a 4.8 AAA pack
I'm running a 6volt pack 6 oz a AAA 4.8 is under 2 and you save 1/2 oz or more with micro for the throttle
it's not the nicest looking plane but it hard to get bored with it
doesn't knife edge or do outside stuff real well but for 99 bucks it keeps me smiling
