Default RE: CT-114 TUTOR ALMOST DONE!

David. your airplane looks stunning ,well done, great scheme and a nice job, I AM READY TO TEST FLY MY TUTOR THIS WEEKEND i haven't painted it yet but everything else is ready, what did you make the nose strakes with ? and what are you locking your front doors with ? also i had to put 4 lbs of lead in the nose right up in the wheel well to get the correct 210 mm balance point ....i have an AMT Netherlands Peggy in the back end and smoke system......weighed in at 42 lbs dry.....I found that the best way to balance such a large plane was to screw a large round hook into the keel through the bottom of the fuseon the CG and hang the beast from the garage ceiling then I could do the for and aft CG and the lateral balance,,,, it took 3 oz lead in the right wingtip to hang straight and level....best wishes \Malcolm
