Hi. Malcolm. Hector from San Juan. Is this the same size as the new Carf
Tutor. Do you think the cockpit will fit this one. And where I can get one?
Thanks

Hey hector... yes the carf Tutor is an exact copy of the Roedel Models one that i have, it even is exactly the same wing span and length. but the carf is lighter than this one... the cockpit is exactly the same size so it should be a straight fit.... best wishes Malcolm

Hi at all,
it seems the CT-114 Tutor gets a comeback theses days...
I bought a Tutor after a hard landing with some damages last september with some damages. As I know the turbine had a flame out in low altitude and while the landing the right wing was hangingh a little bit so the Plane hitched up with the wing tip. As a result, the wing tube bend abot 60° back hiiting the fuselage with the flap. Adiitional there where a lot of cracks in the cockpit section. The damages a repaired, filled and smoothed by now and I´m doing the RC and turbine installation by now.
Has anyone some pictures of how to attach the cockpit to the fuselage? Unfortunately the side plates of the cockpit get damaged, so I can´t see how it was attached.
Considering the CARF Tutor, I don´t thing its a copy of the Roedel Tutor, even it has the same wingspan. There are several points where the Tutors differ. E.g. the Engine Hatch on the CARF one is much larger and way further to the front, bringing the Turbine not so far behind the CG. An other pont are the flaps, going unter the fuselage at the CARF one. Also there are not so many surface details on the CARF one.
Regards Michael

Hi Michael!
Not sure if I have any pictures... I just sold my Tutor. We attached the cockpit with four bolts (2 each side) that go into hardwood/ply blocks. These are glued to the fuselage so the cockpit is flush with the canopyframe.
BR,
David
