Blacksheep-1 - I plan on doing a lot of the mods but I'm not up to the cutting the wings or tail. I will however build the scale tail wheel retract just for the fun of it. Beautiful! Did you see my post about turning your tutorial for the retract into a article for the clubs newsletter? I think it would be interesting for our members. I won't do it without your ok. Thanks so much for the extra info about the cockpit kit. I was going to ask about the U shaped piece but I see it in the picture. Right now I'm getting an airbrush together and will have to practice a little before I start painting. Did you ever finish your Hellcat? I'd love to see a finished picture...

Yes, you can use my pictures, just give me credit. I've moved into an almost full time designing and manufacturing mode, I don't really have time to work on my own stuff or fly. I almost finished my Hellcat, still have not painted the wing though! I'm fine with my current situation, because I enjoy building and the type of problem solving that comes with making a new part for something. I will be moving to Texas in the spring, so I'm really looking forward to getting in touch with some old flying buddies. I'm sure I'll start doing more flying then.
Here is a few pictures, it's as far as I got with my plane. As you can see I have the panels on it and the panel line tape, so it's pretty close to being done.
