ORIGINAL: icrashbipes
it did look sweet with full flaps on final though...
Aehm... Full flaps? Hehehe, they are only 30 Degrees on final - full flaps i only use right after touchdown for breaking. Works like a wheelbrake when those "kitchen doors" come down

(they are 90cm X 14cm on each side, so 35,4" X 5,5")
What happens when i try full flaps in the air, you can see here:

Have a look at position 3:20 Mins in that video and watch the clouds to get an idea of the breaking
That was my 2nd flight on the plane; Fliegerland has it on his site because mine was in the air before his frst one, hehehe
Abt. flaps in general on a Super Decathlon: yes, the original does not have flaps - but in the model, you will love them. Not only because of the final approach but also when you are towing gliders. you can easily andjust your towing speed with them so that you can also pull "oldtimers" up there without getting to "sportive" for their stucture
I think with 50cc on a 2,5m Super Decathlon, you can pull gliders to around 5 - 7 kg up - and do a lot of fun stuff whlie heading back to ground before hooking up the next glider
