RE: KYOSHO edge 540
pretty simple. I actually used this method on the fliton extra. but used zip ties instead of the rubber bands. the placement of the screw to hold the wings on of the fliton was impossible to get to.
little scary to think rubber bands are holding the wings on. but I've done plenty of hard snaps and blenders with no problems.
the plane flys very well. very straight. 3d's well also. the wall is the only maneuver it is lacking in. kind of plows into it. I've moved the cg back a bit but if you go too far the ailerons get very twitchy. gonna try giving the elev. a little more throw. rolls are very quick. give a little rudder in the roll and hold on. lightening snaps. knife edges are very nice. very little coupling. ke loops no problem. I had it out the other day in some gusty conditions and it did well. It was getting knocked around in the sky. but coming in for a landing was uneventful.
I've been using the plane with a 5 cell battery. just recently my 6 cell came in and it's ballistic. the 5 cell was great and glow couldn't touch it. the 6 is just pure power. I have to limit my bursts because I'm pulling over 70 amps and thats what my esc is rated at.
some people might not like the landing gear on the plane it is very lite. I like it because of that. If you land too hard they will bend. they bend right back into shape.
here are some pic's.
