my manual says to turn the HS needle out 2 1/2 out

it also says to run it no more than 4000 rpm's for the first 10 minutes and you should keep the glow charger on because of the rich setting

after the first 10 minutes you can play with the throttle

the manual also says 40 minutes is considered a good breakin period then start to lean out the HS and LS

on my 82 i had the plane in the air on the 3rd tank running rich and slowly leaned the HS/LS every other tank as needed
