Now that you mention it, I think Jack would wait silently for the nay-sayers to leave or perhaps mention that they are akin to a fart in church (loud, startling, and forcing everyone to turn away in disgust). They're good for a chuckle as they profess their ignorance, but after that it's just stink. Just a guess.
