Default RE: TL-01 over heating when dirfting

My Team Losi xxx-s had an overheating problem when I first started drifting.

First off, make sure nothing is binding. I got a heat sink from Integy and mounted a Novak fan to it with a bread twisty. You can plug it into an extra spot on your reciever and it will turn on when you turn the car on. At first my car got to 200'+, now the highest it will go is 155' during the summer. Now that it is winter, I have run it a few times lately and it has only gone up to 135'.

btw, I am running a 19t Komodo Dragon which has bearings and probably helps with the heat also. Here are pics of the heat sink and fan.

good luck
