Yep Its a custom muffler, I used to have a Phoenix Diabolo with a stock muffler and always hated the fact that it stuck out of the bottom of the cowl.


So when I got the Extra I taught myself to Tig weld aluminum, I made it the same size as a Bisson pitts but recently cut it back and made it smaller to improve pressure in the fuel tank.Im running HS-5475HB standard digital servos on elevator and ailerons and a HS-5985MG on rudder.Ive put eight flights on her now and its an awesome combination,Knife-edge has no roll coupling and Id forgotten how good flatspins and knife-edge spins were with an extra.I think Ill be buying Phoenix models for a long time to come.I took a pic of the bottom of the plane too as requested,the wings and stabs were originally all grey I added the white stripes for contrast.
