I'm not sure of the persons' name. The salesman was very helpful and tried his best to help I think it was Jerry or Jimmy something like that He was great the other person just sounded like his hands were tied and there was nothing he could do to help me out.. When you look up my account you will see that i have made a couple of buys from you my last one being the Cessna 310 ARF.
As for the balsa issue. I would be happy to send you my Fuse and tail feathers in place of new ones. You would see that the wood used in the tail is very soft and by soft I mean it seems to have allot of air in the wood, not very dense. When this type of wood is used in an area such as a elevator the amount of force needed to break it is not very great. The way that this tail is designed is such that there is very very little support where the elevator meets the fuselage. The leading edge and the trailing edge are unsupported when they exit the main fuselage structure. There is not any type of internal support for the wood such as triangle gussets at the seams. I work in the LA area and would be happy to maybe come by one weekend and show you what I am talking about. I'm just not sure where you guys are located. The plane as it is built is not correct in the tail area.
I do not need a new tank as I have replaced it with a Hayes unit. But I would like to get a cowl if possible.
Hey Yo GotSky...sure you can drop by ONLY TO PICK UP GOODS BY APPOINTMENT.... but if you come to check out stuffs, I must say not this time of the year....it's like every year this time we stop all retail walk-in customer starting in the middle of october till after christmas unless they are dealers or wholesalers...i apologize for any inconviences but it's a company policy....however, i did talk with the manufacturer and they did notice that problems in the tail-wing ....and so they would express me a batch of reinforced tail-wings on the 30th of October....We probalby would receive it early November so by then, I can ship you the tailwing free of charge...as for the fuselage, they will also make it stronger on behalf of your suggestion...but they wont express me any (oversize, too expensive) and so we must wait till mid December to get that new reinforced shipment of Yak 3D....Anyway, I must thank you for your inputs and sorry for the unpleasant trouble we've caused so if you like to wait, I'll give you a new fuse when it arrives ....just come and pick it up on that day : )
...and if you prefer, you can pick up the tail and fuse together so we can minimize the hassle of worrying about fedex damaging it....our address is:
13240 amar rd. city of industry, ca 91746
And this offer is only good for you because we appreciate inputs from people like you : ) ... our new goal is to provide the best customer service possible from this point on....but keep in mind that people answering the phones are not very technical and the lines are always jammed with calls...so i would just suggest people to email or post right here to get the best support....
