Everything you have done to date is PERFECT. The Avistar is a great trainer because it can be used longer and you won't get tired of it as quickly as a FLAT wing trainer. Can do more stunts.
I agree with a previous statement about the field equipment, starter, glow igniter, obviously a 12 volt battery. If you get a power panel get one with a charging stud for your glow igniter. Beats me why they make them with a glow igniter charging port/plug and ports for a glow clip but oh well am not a marketing expert. OH make sure you get a qualified instructor. Many individuals think if someone puts you on a buddy box they are instructors. False I have seen many people that have crashed beginners planes because they think they are instructors. Research your instructor like anything else. Ask some of the members who they think are the better instructors in the club.
