Every ARF i have ever seen has some flaws. Even the Something Extra (which i love by the way) has notoriously weak landing gear mount, questionable Canopy attachment, and the worst tail wheel in the history of model avaition!

But i think every pilot should have one of them! i would buy another in a heart beat!

Same thing with the magic; the wing is weird, the landing gear sucks, but it is a blast to fly! i have 9 good planes ready to fly but guess which one i fly every weekend? Yup the old beat up trusty Magic. My Top cap, SE, Fun 51... all gathering dust. I know it isn't perfect, but to me and many others there is something special about this plane. I would buy another in a heart beat.

There are some tricks to getting the radio stuff to fit. the best i have heard of so far is attaching the battery to the wing over the servos. That makes more space in front of the servo tray for the reciver. The Hitec 555 fits nicely there. A couple others i heard of placed the rudder servo down the fuselage to redistribute weight. Also creates more space in the radio compartment.

The plastic landing gear clips on mine all cracked and the landing gear fell off in flight, never found it, might be a good idea to stop by the LHS to get some Dubro plastic landing gear straps.

It is certainly a weird and flawed plane, but it might just win you over.
