Default RE: Engine for 18lb plane

ORIGINAL: rcbill

Thanks Frank. I'll watch the video on Tuesday because it takes so long for my computer too download. Could you also tell me what brand prop and size you are running on that G62??
Both the 62's had the stock magneto on them at the time of the videos. The Giant Stinger was turning a Mejzlik 22x10 at close to 7700, and the one on the WH Extra was turning a Menz 22x10 at 6700 or so. Since then I've tried the NX 22x10 and really prefer it to all the other ones in flight performance.....IMAC and 3D. Can't say what kind of r's I'm getting with it, but it sounds like it's close to 7,000.

Stock G62 with 3 gallons of gas through it. B&B muffler, Stihl oil @50:1. Broke in with 2 gallons of 32:1. 50 Degrees. Engine not peaked for each prop, just swapped props and took rpm reading........

22x10 Mejzlik 7350
23x8 Mejzlik 6750
22x10 Menz S 6650
22x10 Bolly Wood 6900
22x8 Bolly Wood 7050 cut down 23x8
