Yes I can see how the gap would be an issue on yours. I would bet this is from the soft balsa that they were using. When the covering went on it most likely flexed the trailing edge inward. Hopefully on the new ones this won't be an issue. You definitely want to seal that baby with some hing tape or clear monokote,, Good luck
