I was actually thinking of the Stryker while still reading your original post, then Gryphon named it. I have one I bought used from a lhs for $40 complete then upgraded to a $12 brushless motor and $9 servos and a $12 ESC. I LOVE THIS JET.

If you want slow flyer for very little money, consider the Slow Stick from GWS. [link=http://www.balsapr.com/view.asp?id=V815101]BPHobbies[/link]. A powerless kit is $21. Then add your own motor/esc/servos/rx. The wing attaches with a couple rubber bands. It will fly at walking speeds and float around forever on a 1300-1500 mA battery.

They ship from China so it takes 12 days or so to get your order, but their 1350mA lipos are excellent for smaller craft. These off-brand electronics are the way to go for small park flyers.
