I'm sure there is some loss of sound, especially the bass is affected, but it's just as loud. I can run the tank from the other end of a basketball court, so that works as well too.

Most everyone runs the antenna wire inside because you not too far away from the tank, unlike you would be a R/C car, plane or even boats like I used to run.
