I think the box stock setup is fine. Just run it stock then tweak on the setup. It is sensitive to adjustments and you can get it out of wack pretty easy... I found that out the hard way [:'(]. If you change anything I would use some slightly higher shock oil (between 40 and 50 weight) and it will keep the buggy more stable. Two people at the local track are using 50f- and 40r and like it. Our track was even pretty bumpy but the suspension was too soft and felt kind of sloppy especially when the track is wet. I am using the 35 weight shock oil but my lower shock position is on the outside... it firmed it up a lot and actually a little to much for me. So I'll be raising my shock oil too before the next time I go out and moving the shocks back to the inside on the arms.
If you want more steering the ackerman is the first thing to change. It helped out a lot on our tight track with a lot of hair-pin corners when going to the short ackerman.
