I don't think he is experienced enough for an aerobatic plane yet. If he is he should go on a buddy box with the plane and learn to fly it and get used to it's characteristics. I have a CG Super Chipmunk 60 size and I will have my instructor who taught me to fly teach me on it. Mine is a kit and there is no way I'm going to crash it by being crazy and trying it on my own. Plus all planes usually need some trimming and if you don't have the experience your headed for sure disaster.
