RE: Skygate Hawk
As some of you may know from the Airwold Hawk thread (a VERY good model) I have researched the real Hawk in great detail, photographed it, measured it and even flown it. My only conclusion now on the Skygate Hawk (having examined IT in great detail at Jet Power) is that its incredibly good, very very scale indeed, with superb panel detail in particular.
My ealier reservation about the nose profile seems to be unfounded as it seems to be an optical illusion caused by the paint lines on the Swiss Hawks. Now that I hear the fuselage can be seperated and may well fit into my European estate car it looks like my next model (plus an AW lightning ) Better get on the waiting list !
Incidentally the new Hawk from Graupner, a Skygate product also looks very, very good indeed and flew beautifully at JP.Sizewise a median betwween the AW and SM Hawks.
