Default RE: Which Yak 54 ARF to get???

I think the 1000 sq in WAS the typo... he meant 100 sq in more...

UR JUST got them in and got them on their website... so it will be a little while before people get started building them.

I have two of the URC (EF) 87" Yaks waiting for me in KY... will be going down in the next day or two to check 'em over and maybe get some pics.

It is nearly identical to the EF design... with the only thing I see different is pinned hinges instead of hingepoints. It also comes with only Wingbags and not fuse/stab bags.

It SHOULD build out to 15.5-16 lbs (my EF was 15.5 with DA50 and stock muffler)

The wingarea may actually be about the same as the QQ 86" Yak as the 87" is somewhat of a misnomer (unless they made it larger for this release. It ended up being 85.5" or so and wing area of about 1400 sq. in. (the wing recesses in the fuse a little and I think this lost their original wingspan)

Basically one could check out the EF 87" Yak thread and determine how this one is built... as long as the factory maintained the quality and everything is straight and true.

EF is indeed announcing something in the next week to 10 days or so... and his stuff just plain rocks.
