My guess is that the wires were not soldered that good in the first place in the esc, we all have seen alot of inconsistencies in the manufacturing. That would deffinetly be a problem. I would definitely search out the warranty on this one. Or it could have been alot of things. Small piece of debris could have clogged the water inlet or something could have gotten on the prop and caused a amp surge.
