RE: Whats the best vee hull for an outboard?
I have built about 10 boats over the last 15 years, Like most guys I started out small and just kept building bigger and faster boats. I got sick of swimming or rowing out after swamped boats in cold water and decided that big twins were the way to go. One of my favorite boats and most reliable is my 55” Dumas Scarab. Powered by 2 K&B .82s but soon to be refitted with 2 K&B 1.0 with race mods . It was one of the easies boats to build and very easy to run. I retired all my small boats and now only run this one with plans this winner of a 72” twin with OPS 90s.
