In all my references for the Hellcat including those I sent you for panel markings on the aircraft previously, the wheel wells on all Hellcats were done in the color of the bottom of the aircraft, i.e. light grey for the two tone scheme, white for the tri color scheme, and insignia blue for the final overall blue scheme.

Only the restoration aircraft seem to have shot the wells in the green chromate color.
