I recall a couple of things, 1st and RCKEN uses it also..."The take off is optional, but the landing is MANDATORY" 2nd "What goes up most come down..Your job is to control the rate of descent and direction of travel"
Both have served me well after 3+ years my airforce is still intact. Welcome to the hobby!
