Default RE: an interesting question, i think

well, the reason for no instructor, is that i am sort of out in the middle of nowhere, the nearest field, which i do go to sometimes, is about 40 miles away, and one knows, that if there is no wind here, in 40 miles it could be 40 mph. i spent some time in the usmc (8 years), and had the opprotunity to watch and fly in several fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft, just was in the right place at the right time sometimes, and i loved it, even though i am not a pilot. when i was younger, i met Greg Boyington and Chuck Yeager, and alot of other pilots that are not as well known as they are, and i always admired them. so, about 3 years ago, i stopped into a hobby store, and there were planes you could buy ready to fly, and from there, i am here. the lucky thing, there is a little cut out in a field about a half mile from my house where i got permission to build a little airfield, its a little tight with the forest around, but it is great ( and yes, i have retrieved a plane from an 80' tree, and it sucked). im currently very taken by my Hangar 9 corsair, and try to fly it regularly. there are dings here and there, and there is a fixed rudder, and a new wing, and the cowl could use some work, BUT ITS GREATTTTTTTTTT!!!!!

another great tidbit of wisdom DONT FLY WHEN ITS FOGGY, IT WONT LOOK COOL!!!!
