Used the suppiled weedie drive, just shortened it up as much as possible. Fitted a notched belt pulley in place of the trimmer head and ran it down to a shaft with a lot bigger notched pulley. Then that shaft goes back to a worm gear drive gear box I built that has the axel going thru it. It drives on the right side only so it will turn. That is why the left front tire is wore also. I tried for a long time trying to find a complete governor that would work with it or parts to build one. Never found one. But that was before the internet days. Maybe I will look around again. I finally had to put an adjustable throttle stop on it so it only opens about 1/4 throttle. Final gear ratio is 56 to 1, as I recall. Gives it about a 5 MPH speed. Will easily pull me, 175 pounds, up a slight incline. We took it all over in parades. Kids and adults always like it.
