Happy Thanksgiving all

I would like some thoughts and opinions on flaps on a Mustang. I am building an older TF P-51 Mustang (red box ) and I was thinking about not installing the flaps. What do you think? Most of the guys at my flying field that have Mustangs don't use the flaps, and told me not to install them. I am not that concerned about total scale look
