The interior of this boat on a 80 degree day does get hot. The two discs on the Astro motors are cooling fans. The 2 Astro 208D speed controls also get hot along with the 20 battery cells and lights. The fan keeps air moving along inside the boat and keep things cool. Not required but certainly an added plus.
