Default RE: Flaps on a Mustang

I have a GP .60 Mustang that works great without the flaps.

However; I have a computer radio and I added the flap function to the ailerons, this completely changed the trim and flight characteristics of the AC. Simply put it was no fun and not required for my plane.

I spoke to a full sized pilot about flaps and he noted that when they are used they have to fly the plane in a totally different manor as "EVERYTHING" changes (balance, trim, speed etc).

Bottom line, if you have a plane that requires the flaps to slow down - fine... but you'll have to learn how to land it with the changed flight characteristics.

If you can take off and land the plane without the Flaps - don't bother complicating your life!
