APC has a thinner and more narrow airfoil. They allow a higher rpm because they are moving less air. For 3D, you want to bite as much air as possible. APC are good for pattern and speed. Use most other high quality wood for 3D, or Mejzlik if the budget allows. APC does offer a line of wide 3D props but they take a second or so to spool up.
