any of the UGLY STICK types will be fine . the Four Star kind of breaks the mold so to speak but on low throws , can work very well as #2 plane. if you want a kit the old Bridi/GP trainer 60 series is hard to beat & looks better than the stick. the old Sig Kommander & smaller brother/ Kavalier was an excellent transition plane & flew well.
