you might have to reinstall the drivers for the controller and reinstall them again,most software installs tell you not to plug in the controller until after the software is installed.if windows is seeing the new hardware found and starts the found new hardware wizard then windows is doing its job.i would reinstall the software and see if that helps.don't plug in the usb bus until after you get the software back in.win xp can use the fat 32/but most come formatted with the nfts file system.if the software is fat 32 and you are using nfts they aren't compatible.
