Regarding the Sea-Tac airport thing: Interestingly, a Menorah is in fact a religious symbol. A Christmas tree is not. So the rabbi was off base threatening a lawsuit due to "equal time" for his religious symbol.

A Christmas tree has the letters c-h-r-i-s-t in it, but that does not make it a Christian religous symbol. No more than naming someone Jessie makes them a Christian symbol of Jesus.
