true but you lose data until you powered off and on the trannie...
that is why the internal battery is there.
No - as I understand it, if you have the small internal battery fail, you lose the info for good - you don't get it back simply by switching the TX off and back on again.
Like you said - that's why that battery is there - to keep the data safe even when the TX is off ... so when the battery fails, nothing is keeping the data.
