Default expanded clutch

Many times (most times) when you burn out a clutch lining the clutch shoes expand to fill in the gap as the lining disappears and distort so that they do not return to the same size the clutch was originally. If you bend the clutch shoes back in, it will fit and might work for a while BUT in many cases the the heat of burning the lining out causes the shoes to harden (or soften, I forget which) and when you bend them in to get them to fit and then they expand back out to engage the clutch, the shoes break off, I had that happen on several Shuttle clutchs. In my MA clutchs, if the shoes are blue from heat, the clutch gets replaced.
