Hanno did the original Minare design for the .40 class aerobatic class flown in Austria, and yes, it does have only a passing similarity to its big brother. My guess is that a simple scale down of the .60 Curare wouldn't have the aerodynamics needed for the smaller class. As for the anhedral tailplane there was some improvements claimed for it but flying a straight tailed aerobat and Curare back to back I find I can detect bugger all difference, but it sure looks good.
