Anyone here flown the Parkzone Typhoon and can compare this to the typhoon's performance?
I'm thinking of running this plane with a 1320mah lipo/4200kv Inrunner brushless
What do you think?
I'm running a park 400 outrunner in mine right now. I briefly had the the park 400 4200KV inrunner with the 6.6:1 gearbox in the plane. Was able to swing an 12x6 slow fly prop and the performance was stunning. Very nice hover with the big prop. I only took the 4200KV motor out and put the outrunner back in as I originally built the plane with the outrunner and the stick mount was cut shorter than the inrunner gearbox mount needed. I had to space the prop out on the end of the propshaft to clear the cowl opening and with the prop out on the end of the shaft it was very susceptible to bending with the mass of the prop hanging on the end.
While I have not flown a Typhoon, I do know someone that has one. I don't think there would be much of a performance comparison. 225 watt motor on a 17 ounce plane
