Thanks for that info ... I read the Dx7 manual today and yes it states that it can be used and linked to another transmitter. It just doesn't state which brands etc it is compatible with in the manual.

I hope it goes ok with JR as you said because I've booked a few lessons with an instructor for the week following Christmas and I ordered a Dx7 from Modelflight today !!!

Can't wait to get it ...... only thing is now I suppose I will have to decide on a plane and engine.

There are so many options and different opinions in this sport it's fairly daunting for a newbie like me to decide which way to go. Guess I'll just keep reading these forums and go from there.
