Ahhh, yes the glorious weather of England.

Then it is time to get a flight simulator and get in some quality time.

Ask you club advisor if they teach/fly in Mode 1 or Mode 2. This relates to how the functions are organized on the sticks. Then pick up a Flight simulator - Best investment you can make at this point, but you need to be sure that you can set up for proper mode.


Here are some options - you will need to find UK sources, of course. All of these come with a controller that looks and feels like an RC transmitter so you will get the proper feel and develop the proper hand/eye coordination. When you get your own transmitter you will probably be able to get a cable that will allow you to use it with these simulators, but the boxes with these will do quite nicely for now.

Low cost - Based on the FMS Freeware flight simulator
Not fancy but it will help you prepare.
